A Panoramic Journey into World Culture

New Picture Library is an archive specializing in images of Art, Archaeology, History, Geography, Travel, Geology, Botany, Zoology, Food, and anything related to the encyclopedic world and popular dissemination.

The need for cultural documentation is the main driving force behind the expansion of the archive over time. Even travel reports do not give way to style, and remain able to highlight the subject bringing us on an endless journey around the world. Furthermore the possibility to access private collections and minor museums, now makes it possible to publish a rich collection of posters, objects of design, decorative arts, historical photography, and memorabilia. Herbaria and XVI century publications are also milestones of the archive. 

Particularly useful is the rich collection of drawings and historical reconstructions. Last but not least the unique collection of colorized antique prints is appreciated by all.

Currently the images collected in New Picture Library include photo shoots from prestigious collections such as the Judith Lange and her Mediterranean Archaeology Collection, extraordinary views on the tombs of the Pharaohs in Egypt, vintage prints from the Veneranda Biblioteca Ambrosiana in Milan, historical magazines like L'Illustrazione Italiana and The Illustrated London News and many other extraordinary collections.

The vast collection also includes numerous photography of artworks, UNESCO sites, and places that are now inaccessible or destroyed by conflict or natural disasters.
